ahh miss you kels <3
alright... lets rewind. before i got this package, i had to wake up and go to class. ughh, nothing is worse than getting up early for a friday morning class. i didnt want to wake up, but i had to keep telling myself it was only 3 hours.. you can do it. class was fine, nothing special. although in seminar, we began discussing and debating punishment and the death penalty and such. so before i tell you what this girl said, i need to kind of... lets call it setting the scene.
our teacher gave us a handout to read and categorize each excerpt into on of two subjects, for or against public execution (intense i know). well after we finished, she went around the room for each person and asked them what the student came up with. well this girl in the middle of the room was not paying attention at all, giggling with her friend, texting on her phone so needless to say when it was her turn, she was clueless. (then again, even if she was paying attention, i honestly dont think she'd know anyway) so long story not so short, she looks stupid for not paying attention and had to admit that she didnt read any of it.
later on we got into the death penalty and prison system discussion. sure enough...mid conversation, this girl raises her hand and while raising it blurts out " i have something to say!" ... well thanks for the clarification, i figured you we just holding your hand up in the air for the fun of it. so princess look-at-me starts to ramble nonsense about the prison system and ends with this...
prisons now a days are like hotels. they are served their meals. they dont have any responsibilities. i wouldnt be scared at all if i had to go.
time out

WHAT?!
seriously, girl you're crazy!
the whole entire class was silent, and then laughed at her. i honestly could no believe those words just came out of her mouth. news flash princess, you seem to be getting hard time confused with that fantasy world your living in. no way in hell you'd ever survive in the slammer for a day. i never thought id say this, but the dumb american on my floor looked pretty good compared to this girl and her comment.
when i returned back to this wonderful establishment, i didnt know what to do. i had the whole afternoon off, but was to lazy to go out and explore. so i decided to rearrange my room, and it was very successful. i didnt think it was possible to move things around in a cell, but turns out you can.
i dont know if you remember what my room looked like before, but just to refresh your memory...
before..
after!
not to go all HGTV on you,
but it opened up the room so much!
tomorrow we're taking a boat cruise to greenwich home of the queens house, old royal naval hospital and college and last but not least the prime meridian! should be an exciting day! because were going to be gone for the day, i think ill be laying low tonight, and going to sleep at a decent hour. in about an hour i have a skype date planned with MB, leanne and krystie... AHHHH I CANT WAIT! =) i havent "seen" them since we all moved out of our apartments in december, so we have alot to catch up on!
btw- i have officially been here for four weeks. crazy right!!!
