Army Time

We have officially been in london for over a week. over all i think we're starting to get the hang of things.
transportation
money (mostly)
shops to go to
grocery stores
popular bars and club
time change
but for some reason we cannot  remember military time to save our lives (or army time as erin calls it). i dont know what it is but 17:34 and 21:29 does NOT register as a really time. so i think ill just give up with this and stick to 12-hour time.

another thing i just dont get...

we were walking around and saw a salon offering pedicures, well these arent normal let me tell you.
you put your feet in the water with little FISH and they swim around you feet.... ARE YOU FOR REAL? EW EW EW EW EW! THATS NARSTY!

(photos compliments of lauren )

If i wanted little slimy animals to swim in between my toes id go jump in the lake in my back yard... and i sure as hell wouldnt pay for it!

Anyway.. Today we slept in and then went out to find school supplies. the paper here is longer and thinner and the only paper accepted. interesting. we start classes tomorrow, but i dont have any because im off monday and wednesday. we're only allowed to take four courses over here so i have two classes tuesday, one thursday and one friday. As of now they are all higher level courses so im going to do my best to change one of them. not feeling the stress of last semester all over again, especially while in london.  When looking over the course work some classes just have a final, some have essays, some have presentations and some have a combination of all three. the part that worries me is the formats of the papers. roger williams has drilled APA format and all these other guidelines for papers into my head since freshman year and now that doesn't matter anymore. hopefully ill be able to figure out what to do and not to do here.

After we bought our school supplies we stopped at street vendor for a snack. these seem to be very popular over here and in my father was here, oh boy would he LOVE it...

waffffffffles!

doesn't it look unreal?
yum yum yum yum

After we had lasagna for dinner and then went off to our rooms. even i was awake for umm... 5 five hours between when i woke up until the end of dinner, i was still so tired. So erin and i just relaxed in her room and "watched" tv. thank god for slingbox! Erin has is connected to her tv at home so we were able to watch the episode of jersey shore that we missed as well as the Jets v. Pats game. (which the jets are about to winnnn!!!)

such a great view

VINNNNNNYYYY!!
OHH YEHAAA

because i don't have class tomorrow im attempting to get up early and get used to this whole waking up on time and going to class thing, ugh.

<3- praying to fall asleep early!

p.s THE JETS WON! LET'S HEAR IT FOR NEW YORKKKKK!!!!

Dear New England, you BLEW it!
