What Direction Is Old Street?

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS ...
GOOD NEWS!

you can live in this crack house of a dorm again next year!

seriously?
so apparently westminster students are only allowed in housing for one year, and after they must find their own form of housing. well the other day i found this lovely sign, announcing the availability of housing for next year!

Oh golly gee, wouldn't it just be swell to live here again?
NOT.

seriously, when i moved in here, i was talking with my flat mate,
and word for word he said (in a british accent),
"i'm sorry you have to live in this shit hole"
(excuse the language)
but its true, my apartment in rhode island is a castle compared to this place.

who would willingly choose to live in these dorms again?
not i.

for those of you less fortunate
(aka, those who are unable to return to the usa)
you may want to take the time to find your own apartment,
last time i check, life would be alot better without
a bi-polar, overly authoritative receptionist and
the unwanted pet mouse that has decided to live in the kitchen.

NO THANK YOU!

anyway...

so its been a while since i blogged, but i havent done anything to exciting.

so the other day i decided to go for a run. nothing out of the ordinary, i ran down the street and around the park. well instead of cutting across the park as i usually do, i ran up a little further thinking it would extend my run a little longer, and i would just take a longer loop around. well, turns out that wasnt the case. i first found a cute little canal that i had never seen before, so i ran down the side of it. at the end i turned to the right as if i was running back towards the park. well about 15 minutes later,  i still hadn't come across the park. i just kept running and assumed id come across something i recognized soon. every once in a while i would get excited when i saw a corner that looked familiar... turns out its just another store in a different part of town. after about 30 minutes i started to become a little nervous that i was offically lost. then i remembered about the construction on my street (old street). they have been doing work on a building near me, and there are cranes that i see from my window.

cranes from my window.

so when i looked up, i searched for these cranes, and started to run towards them. well they got closer and closer... but once i arrived, i had no clue where i was. i then spotted another set of cranes and ran in that direction... fail #2. well long story not so short, i ran to about three sets of cranes, none of which were the ones i can see from my window. i then spotted a building that is close to my dorm. after an hour,  i some hour found my way home. my quick run around the park, became a marathon let me tell you. on saturday we had beautiful weather, so erin and i decided to take stroll down the street through the park. well on the walk there, i quickly realized that using cranes to get home was well, i dumb idea. just on the walk to the park and from the park i saw at least, 8 cranes.

good job natasha.
